The Pensive Migration Helper exports your homework and exam data from your existing grading platform as a single ZIP, then lets you upload it into Pensive. Three steps, a few minutes.
Step 1: Start the import in Pensive
In Pensive, open your course’s Assignments page and click Import from Gradescope to open the migration page.
Step 2: Install the extension
Install Pensive Migration Helper from the Chrome Web Store, then click Add to Chrome → Add extension.
Step 3: Export your existing course
Open your course home page in your existing grading platform, click Migrate to Pensive, and save the generated ZIP file.
Step 4: Upload to Pensive
In Pensive’s “Upload and review assignments” box, drag and drop the ZIP (or click to select). Pensive reads it, then lets you choose which assignments to import.
Tip: Install the extension first the “Migrate to Pensive” button only appears once it’s active. Upload the ZIP as-is; don’t unzip it.
